Logistics Coordinator
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the distribution of plant resources and activities required to facilitate the daily production and logistical management requirements of a given customer's program. Along with monitoring the ongoing production/logistics resource requirements of customer programs to determine if/when additional support is needed. This will all be in conjunction with the Production team to plan production/logistics activities of the requirements to avoid overload.
Basic Functions:
- To coordinate the distribution of plant resources and activities required to facilitate the daily logistical management requirements across all assigned customer programs.
- Collaborate with Corporate, Sales, and Account Services teams to align priorities, review shortages, communicate risks, and provide shipment ETA updates across all supported customer programs.
- Review daily shortage and open order reports to ensure all customer orders are completed in full, on-time, and aligned with service level expectations.
- Work in conjunction with the Production, Receiving, Warehousing, and Shipping teams to proactively plan production/logistics activities in advance of the requirements, balancing workload and identifying additional support needs to prevent delays and bottlenecks.
Essential Functions:
- Participate in daily cross-functional meetings or customer alignment calls to review shipment requirements and confirm completion of all necessary production, shipping, and posting activities.
- Oversee the pick and pack, quality assurance, staging, and shipping process for all assigned sales orders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with Production Supervisors and Project Managers to ensure production output aligns with shipping priorities and customer delivery requirements; proactively communicate progress and expected completion time to Shipping leadership.
- Monitor warehousing and shipping performance issues on an ongoing basis and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
- Provide a structured daily “End of Day” summary outlining shipment status, open issues, shortages, risks, and next-step actions.
- Ensure all daily system posting and transaction requirements are completed accurately and within established timelines.
Secondary Duties:
- Participate in daily operational meetings to review current and upcoming shipment requirements and resource planning needs.
- Support and assist in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance communication flow and coordination between Sales, Account Services, Corporate and Plant Operations teams.
ducation, Experience, Skill Requirements
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma/College Degree strongly preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant customer-specific logistics coordination experience with TL/LTL carriers. Small package experience is a plus. Solid understanding of warehousing processes and procedures. ERP systems experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Strong prioritization and organizational skills, Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and to be a team player, Customer service skills, and a Strong attention to detail. Proficient in Excel and Word.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $42,685-62,321, with eligibility for OT after 40 hours worked and an annual bonus. The actual base salary depends on various factors and could be above or below the range depending on the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, business needs, and market demand. The full salary range for this role reflects this position's competitive labor market value and provides an opportunity to progress as associates grow and develop within the role. Bonuses are paid based on RTC’s financial results. Any payouts awarded in the first year of employment are pro-rated based on the start date. Program rules are subject to change at management’s discretion.
